The Best Bottle Ever!

Do you bottle feed your baby? Do you find that he/she is very gassy, takes in a lot of wind, or just unsettled? Perhaps it is the bottle that you're using that is contributing to this.

In this blog I am reviewing and writing about my experience with the Playtex Baby VentAire bottles. These bottles are the best - in my opinion.

My first child was bottle fed from pretty much the very beginning. I was a mum that didn't produce enough breastmilk, and what I did produce wasn't good enough for baby. So, when my little one was two days old, I introduced the bottle with formula to her and she guzzled down all the formula that was in there. Poor little bub was hungry. Using formula is a whole other story which I will probably write about soon.

After 4 or so months of baby being on the bottle, I noticed that she was getting increasingly fussy and she had a lot of wind and gas. As a new mum, I jumped on Google and researched the best bottles for baby to relieve wind/gas. I came across many bottles - Dr. Brown's, MAM, Comotomo, etc and I was researching and reading the reviews on all of them.

Then I came across the Playtex Baby VentAire bottles and I was very intrigued because the shape of the bottle was completely different to anything I have seen so far. The bottle is designed with an angled neck! I quickly jumped on to their website and looked up the item and read up as to why it is designed the way it is. The bottle has an angled neck to help promote upright feeding to help babies with reflux and or colic. There bottom of the bottle has a patented vent to keep the air at the base of the bottle so no air mixes with the milk while the baby drinks. There are many other features so I do highly recommend going to their website and looking it up.

I was sold! I quickly ordered the bottle online through Amazon and eagerly awaited the delivery.

While I was waiting, I was watching my favorite YouTuber Bonnie Hollein (I highly recommend watching her channel! She is so honest, funny and down to earth and she has a wonderful husband and beautiful family) and in one of her videos she showed her youngest son drinking from a bottle and it was the Playtex VentAire! I thought to myself "If Bonnie uses this bottle, then it must be good!"

After a week from placing my order, the bottle arrived! I quickly unpacked it and sterilized it and gave it to my daughter on her next feed. It took her a bit to get used to the teat/nipple of the bottle but after about a minute or so she was drinking away. And I kid you not, ever since I changed her over to the VentAire, she didn't have much gas, if at all and was a lot more settled. It's like she was a different baby!

Now the bottle does come with more parts than most other bottles, but for me, it is worth the extra time washing and putting it together because I have a happier baby as a result.

I highly recommend this bottle to any mum that has a baby that has colic, refulx or is unsettled and I hope that this bottle is as much a lifesaver for you as it was for me.
