Bluey!
If you haven't heard of Bluey, then you have been living under a rock!
This show is hands down...brilliant! You must watch it!
The show centers around a Blue Heeler family of Bandit the dad, Chilli the mum, Bluey and her little sister Bingo. Bluey is a young dog with a great imagination and loves to make up games and play. Each episode is 7 minutes long and it is jam packed with fun adventures, laughing and lessons learned by all.
Our first experience with Bluey came late last year when it was first aired on the ABC Kids channel. My husband and my two little ones started watching it and every time they did, I would hear my kids laughing, even my husband!
After a few days of them watching Bluey, I decided to watch it with the rest of my family and I too was finding myself lauhing at all the fun that Bluey and her family were having.
I was so impressed with the show! The creators really captured what it is like living in Australia, from the weather and surroundings, to the community that Bluey and her family live in. I find myself lauhing at Bandit (the dad). I find him to be a typical Aussie male and it is just hilarious! My husband even said that Bandit is his "hero" haha!
A favorite episode of mine is called "Takeaway". It is about Bandit taking Bluey and Bingo out to pickup some food at their local Chinese restaurant. I imagine that this episode perfectly depicts what it is like when our husbands take our kids out on their own. I know it is for our household! You must watch this episode, everything about it is just so true! What Bluey and Bingo do while they're waitng for the food to be ready to how Bandit handles the situations that his daughters find themselves in.
Like I said before, each episode contains good lessons that can be learnt by kids and adults alike. And since watching Bluey, I have noticed that my husband and I play with the kids more and spend more time with them. And my daughter - being the oldest - now makes up more games for her and her little brother to play and she even laughs like Bluey now!
To top it off, Bluey won the Logie for the Most Outstanding Children's Program for 2019 and is going to be on kids' tvs around the world very soon.
