Hey Loves!
Sorry it's been a while since I posted...life happened.
Anyway, today I want to write a review on the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation!
I love makeup and all things to do with makeup. I don't purchase a lot of it as it can get quite expensive, but when a product intrigues me, I do try and see if I can get my hands on it.
I have been wanting to try this foundation since I saw the many reviews on my favourite YouTubers channels. However, since I live in Australia, it wasn't available for purchase in store here.
A month or so ago, Priceline announced that they would be stocking this brand and to say I was excited was an understatement. Then, I came across an online store called Glamraider which sells Makeup Revolution along with other great brands that we cannot get in Australia and I was very close to purchasing this foundation from them however I was still unsure about my shade...so I decided to wait until Priceline launched the brand in their stores so I could swatch the shades.
Let me give you some background on my makeup/skin history...
I have normal/combination skin and get oily on my T-Zone and my chin. I have an olive complexion with more of a yellow base and I find it very difficult to find foundations in my shade. They are either too pink or too yellow. My current "go to" foundation is the Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation in the shade 52 Vanilla. I haven't found a foundation that matches my skin more closely than that product...and even then it is very slightly too dark for me, but I lighten it up using concealer and powder.
So, the day finally came and I was able to swatch the shades and compare with a foundation that I currently wear and found my shade that matches as close as possible to my skin in 8.5. The foundation costs $18 which is so affordable compared to what I pay for my Bourjois foundation which is $32. So off I hurry, to the registers and excitedly purchased the foundation!

Here are my thoughts...
1 - The packaging of this foundation is so nice. It looks expensive and sleek and looks nice sitting on your vanity. It is frosted glass and has a doe foot applicator which, by the way, is HUGE! To me, it didn't look so big when I watched people using it on YouTube but when I pulled it out of the bottle I was shocked.
2 - Upon applying the foundation to my face, I did notice a scent. In my opinion, it smelt like paint...but as soon as you put it on your face it disappeared and you cannot smell it throughout the day. So to me, that wasn't a big deal.
3 - It applies so smoothly! What everyone is saying about this foundation is correct! It blends so easily, it is medium to full coverage and it is so lightweight. It makes your skin look flawless.
4 - It doesn't oxidise or make me oily whatsoever. I have tried the L'Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation and found that it oxidised A LOT on my skin and made me so oily an hour or two after application.
I have worn this foundation a couple of times now and worn it for at least 12 hours and I can confidently say that this foundation doesn't break me out, separate on my oily areas or makes me look oily.
In summary, I absolutely love this foundation. Everything about it is amazing and I think I have found my new holy grail! The fact that it doesn't make me oily, feels like I'm not wearing makeup at all, doesn't transfter and is a great price is just amazing. It ticks all my boxes. Well done Makeup Revolution!
I highly recommend you all try it and let me know your thoughts below :)
If you have any other foundations that you highly rate, please let me know and I'll be keen to try it out.
Talk soon.
